Inverness Men's Shed reopening
Added at 08:45 on 17 February 2022
Following a closure of around two years, it is with great pleasure that we are announcing the reopening of Inverness Men’s Shed, officially opened by Councillor Jimmy Gray. To mark the occasion, existing members were invited to tour the refurbished premises and to contribute to an open discussion on future activities and priorities. The transformation of the Pavilion into a high quality facility opens up fresh opportunities to respond to a wider range of Members’ interests and we look forward to following up all ideas and suggestions.
The meeting and social areas are now much more spacious and very well appointed, with a new kitchen and new toilet facilities. But perhaps the biggest change is in the provision of extensive “work areas” which are now fully equipped with a wide range of tools and machinery and also have good wood storage space. One valuable addition has been the installation of a modern dust extraction system which will make for a much more comfortable working environment.
The reopening of the Shed is an exciting development for existing and potential members and will enable us to once more make a contribution that will benefit the wider Inverness Community.
