Friendship Group Mystery Bus Outing

Today 13 July 2023, our happy little band of adventurers hopped onboard a vintage Macbraynes bus, driven by John, a good friend, and headed off into the unknown. We had a fantastic day out, visiting the very interesting Nairn museum where a couple of our group were told to keep moving as the staff were doing a stock take. From there in the blazing sunshine we made our way to the Nairn Men’s Shed at the railway station. Our friendly hosts made us so welcome and we spent a relaxing time amongst them whilst enjoying a fantastic picnic lunch, courtesy of Charles and Dolina Reid. We then motored on down to the Nairn links for a stroll along the beach whilst some sweet-toothed individuals opted for an ice cream!
Our trip home via Cawdor was magnificent, with scenery of the highest quality. Laugh? We never stopped and the unanimous verdict was that this outing was a great success and must be repeated although no matter what is arranged in the future, it will remain a mystery!
